Ni contigo, ni sin ti
Ni contigo, ni sin ti (not with or without you) is an acrylic on canvas painting by Chilean artist Camila Paz.
About Camila:
‘My constant search for expansion and knowledge brought me to Australia.
Here, I began to dedicate myself to my true passion: painting. Living in Naarm has allowed me to broaden my perspective of the world by meeting other artists. It was also the beginning of a process of self-search and empowerment as an artist and as a migrant woman.
‘Since 2019, my work has been exhibited in different spaces. I had a solo exhibition at Bendigo Bank Carlton in 2021 and a recent solo exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery. I was also a finalist for the SBS Portrait Prize in 2021 and the Doyles Art Award 2022.
‘I also was given a grant from the Sustaining Creative Workers Initiative 2021 to develop my artistic practice. This included two workshops with Melbourne’s community and the organisation SisterWorks. This also encouraged me to start a series of new art workshops for adults and children, which is what I’m currently working on.’
